William Kent Krueger

William Kent Krueger, author from St. Paul, Minnesota, visited Benton County September 15th.  He started at Belle Plaine at 11am, conversing with the group gathered.  Four members of our morning book club were able to be there and even got to ask him why he killed off Molly.  He met with a group at 3pm in Van Horne and wound up the day in Vinton with a large group in Tilford auditorium.  Six of the evening book club members attended the Vinton program.  It was great fun to hear him describe his interaction with Hollywood agents and an eye-opener to hear how much research time went into the book before a single word was written.  This author visit was sponsored by the Benton County Library Association, made up of the ten libraries in Benton County, and the Iowa Humanities Board.
