2011 Summer Reading Program

ONE WORLD, MANY STORIES RECAP

Summer Reading Program 2011 is just a memory now, but what a great one!  We had 97 registrants with over 1900 hours read.

We "explored" many countries via our programs and reading:  The preschooler and Kindergarteners especially loved the animals from other countries:  Chinese pandas, Korean Blue Dragons, African critters and the Blank Park Zoo program.

The elementary ages enjoyed games, starting off with the belly flop competition, running and flipping pancakes just like the British, and hitting the pinata as hard as possible.

The Teens made and ate food from around the world each Tuesday noon, finishing off with a great lock-in.  Everyone stayed up from 9pm to 6am with all sorts of fun and games to keep them going.

Get ready for next summer, kids, it's a nighttime theme!

THANK YOU SUMMER READING PROGRAM SPONSORS!

Summer Reading Program is successful because of the great support we receive from local business and organization.  Thank you to these generous sponsors for their help in 2011!
