Use the Genealogy Collection

The library has an extensive collection of genealogical materials including local histories, records, and newspaper microfilm.
Blairstown Public Library's genealogy collection contains microfilm records of all Benton County newspapers up through 1990; microfilm records of birth, marriage and deaths; and many local family, church, town and county histories.  The collection is housed in the Genealogy Room and all materials must be used within the Genealogy Room.  Library staff will offer assistance in showing the collection and how equipment may be used, but will not do research assistance.  Patrons may receive research help from the Benton County Genealogy Society.  Contact Steve Meyer at 454-6102.
